Steve Visser is a Professor of Industrial Design at Purdue University and has been a professor since 1989.  In 1996 he served as a Fulbright Professor at the University of Art and Design Helsinki. In 2007 he was named Honorary Professor at Nanjing University of Science and Technology in Nanjing China. Before teaching, he worked as an industrial designer at Hari and Associates in Skokie, Illinois. He received an MFA in Industrial Design in 1988 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
